Strategic Foresight & International Business Development

Anticipate changes. Identify opportunities earlier. Make better international growth decisions.

In an increasingly uncertain global environment, companies cannot rely solely on forecasts to guide their international development. Geopolitical shifts, technological disruption, regulatory changes and rapidly evolving markets are reshaping the conditions for growth. The companies that succeed internationally are not those that predict the future, but those that prepare for multiple possible futures.

This executive workshop combines Strategic Foresight and International Business Development to help leaders anticipate change, identify emerging opportunities and make more robust international growth decisions.

What participants will gain

  • A structured foresight methodology to explore possible futures affecting their industry & target markets.
  • Practical decision-making tools to assess and prioritise international growth options.
  • Early identification of emerging opportunities and threats before they become visible to competitors.
  • Greater strategic agility in the face of economic, technological and geopolitical uncertainty.
  • A concrete action roadmap translating foresight insights into measurable international business development initiatives.

Business impact

Strategic Foresight helps companies move from a reactive approach to an anticipatory mindset.

It enables leadership teams to:

  • Secure international investments
Reduce exposure to unexpected market shifts and make better-informed commitments.
  • Prioritise growth markets
Focus resources on markets and opportunities with the strongest potential.
  • Strengthen competitive advantage
Identify emerging trends, new business models and market opportunities earlier.
  • Accelerate innovation & diversification
Turn weak signals and market changes into new strategic options.
  • Build more resilient international strategies
Prepare for several possible futures rather than relying on a single forecast.

THE CB2i CONSULTING DIFFERENCE

As a facilitator, CB2i Consulting brings hands-on experience developed over many years in applying strategic foresight to international business development.

This experience was gained in particular within a Business Unit of a major Japanese industrial group, where strategic foresight, market intelligence and the anticipation of market developments were directly integrated into the management of international business and the identification of new growth opportunities.

CB2i Consulting therefore combines strategic foresight with hands-on international business development experience, turning the exploration of possible futures into better-informed decisions and concrete growth options.

In international negotiations, a well-prepared team combining experience and new perspectives often creates more value than any individual expert. A company is ultimately recognised not only for its products and services, but also for the quality of its collective intelligence.”
